St Joseph Mercy Hospital one of the largest and most respected healthcare providers in the State of Michigan recently turned again to their trusted long-term partner- WILTEC Technologies to work on two major expansion projects at their main Ann Arbor Health Care Campus.

The East Tower Project - entailed delivering optical fiber and copper backbones to each floor of the 11 story expansion which included network connectivity for an additional 270 patient beds. Over 500,000 Berk-Tek Category 6 cabling was deployed for network connectivity applications including patient monitoring and interactive TV. This significant project was managed to completion on-time and on-budget over an eight month period.

The New Surgical Pavilion- included infrastructure and design for 18 new state-of-the-art Operating Rooms and a new sterile area. In addition to providing cabling for this entire project, a design and implementation plan for wireless applications throughout the hospital network, for monitoring, tracking-badges and equipment, Emergency Room check-in as well as Spectra-Link wireless telephones were all part of the Scope of Work for this project which was successfully brought to completion on-time and on budget over the course of one year.
